Basic Rules

From the proceeds received, the League will payout each week $20 to the owner whose team scores the highest number of points for that week, $15 to the team owner whose team scores the second highest points for that week, $10 to the team owner that scores the third highest points and $5 for the team owner that scores the fourth highest points (total weekly point payout for the year will be $50*17 weeks or $850, leaving the rest of the fees for the league to divide up as described below at the end of the season). In case of ties each week, the prize money will be divided evenly (i.e. if two teams tie for 2nd and 3rd then they will split $25).

Standings will be maintained on a point basis. The League champion will be that owner whose team has compiled the most points at the end of the regular season. In the event of ties, a tie breaking procedure will be implemented. This tie breaking procedure will be used only to determine the final League standings. The tiebreaker is short and sweet and is as follows: "The winner will be the owner who drafted later in the first round of that year's annual draft."

All fees due to the League Championship Fund will accumulate throughout the season. The fees due by each owner must be given to the League Commissioner prior to the start of the first game of week 17. The League Championship Fund will be distributed to the team owners in order of highest points accumulated. The tie breaking procedure is used in the determination of placement (standings).

The League Championship Fund will be allocated as follows:

  • League Champion - 50%
  • Second Place - 25%
  • Third Place - 15%
  • Fourth Place - 10%
  • 5th on down - 0%

Draft

Any player, currently signed or not, may be drafted. If the player is on the nfl.com (as reported by QuickStats) injury report, he may be placed on IR and another player selected prior to the weeks's roster move deadline. IR requests may begin immediately after the last player is drafted but must be done as described in the IR rule. Trades may also begin immediately after the draft but must follow the trade rules below. Players that have not been signed by an official NFL team and players that are on suspension may be drafted in any round. However, they must occupy an active roster spot (i.e. they cannot be placed on IR, regardless of their injury status, until they are signed and appear on the nfl.com injury report. Draft time limits are 2 minutes per position for the first 8 (1-8) rounds and 3 minutes per position for the last 8 (9-16) rounds.

Roster Moves

During the year an owner may add new players to his roster by selecting a player from the pool of un-drafted players remaining in the NFL. All roster moves will be made using the "Request Move" selection on the web site. Roster moves must be submitted by the roster move deadline for the week. The roster move deadline is at midnight- (00:00:00) PACIFIC TIME- of the day of the first game of the week. The roster moves are processed automatically at 1:15 am. For example, weekends with Sunday/Monday only games means roster moves can occur up to 00:00:00 Sunday morning.
WARNING: Don't push it- the web site checks the time during the entire roster move process, if the time crosses midnight before you finish, the move is rejected.
Check the web site for the specific day of the freeze (midnight of the day of the first game that week). Each owner must pay attention to these dates as there will be no reminders sent out. The dates are posted on the left side of the web site. In the case where more than one team wants to pick up the same player, the team placing lowest in the previous single week standings will get the disputed player. If the previous week standings do not break a tie, then the week prior to that will be used. If the tie continues to stand, the team selecting latest in the first round of the draft will get the disputed player. Roster moves may commence immediately after the last pick of the draft with the deadline for week one as described above. The cost to select a new player during the season shall be $5 and that $5 will be put into the championship fund. When a new player is selected, the owner must release a player from his existing roster who is playing the same position as the new selected player. Any released player may be selected by any owner beginning the following week (including the owner releasing the player originally).

Trading

Trades will be allowed between owners only during the first 9 weeks of the season. Trades are made by clicking on the "Request Move" button and specifing a trade. The other team owner must login the the web site and confirm the trade in order for it to be completed. The $5 fee is per trade per team involved (that is the complete transaction between the teams involved, regardless of the number of players) will be paid to the championship fund. The trade may occur anytime during the Roster Move time window and will be accepted when the moves are processed. Trades may be nullified by the commish if he feels there is illegal "stacking" occurring. Players on IR may be traded (moved from one team's IR to another team's IR or active roster).

Injured Reserved

A team may have at any time, 2 players on our IR positions. Quickstats/NFL.COM update their injury reports on Wednesdays and Fridays. A player MUST be on the Quickstats/NFL Injury Report (posted Wednesday and Friday nights on Quickstats/NFL.COM) in any form (probable, questionable, doubtful, out, or other standard wording) in order to be placed on our IR that week. Since there is no injury report for teams on a bye week, any players on your roster that have a bye may be placed on IR for the bye week. The next injury report published for the bye week players will govern their placement/eligibility on our IR. When a player on our IR is no longer on the Quickstats/NFL.COM injury report, you have the option of dropping him (putting him on the free list) or moving him back to your active roster and dropping any player at the same position. If the player is no longer on the Quickstats/NFL.COM IR and you leave him on our IR, or do nothing, the website will remove him from IR and place him in the available player pool (free list) at the roster move deadline. The FOLLOWING WEEK (as seen by all), that player, or the other player dropped due to his activation, become available in the free player pool. No one has priority to pick up the person (other than the normal selection process).

LINEUP Deadline:

You must enter your line-up on the WEB SITE by the posted line up deadline(s).
We use the schedule table from Quickstats to dynamically build the game dates and times table. This means scheduled game times are set from the official NFL site, just formatted by Quickstats. Some games are 1:05 or 1:15, you have up to game start time for line up changes for player position represented in that game.
Line up changes are now ALLOWED up to game start time. The time of the next game to start is always on the left navigation bar.
Line Up Changes are now ALLOWED to any and all positions where none of the players games have started for the week. For example, if your 4 WRs are on DEN, GB, NYG, and NYJs, and these teams play each other on Sunday and Monday nights, you will be able to select your WRs up to game start time on Sunday night. The same goes for all positions. Your line up changes must be completed PRIOR to game start time for any player at the position you are changing.

Use the "Change Lineup" Web Page to make the line up changes.

In all cases of an owner not submitting a lineup in time, his previous week's line-up is used to determine which players start

The inital lineup each season is the order a team is drafted, by position (i.e. the first two RBs drafted by a team will be the starters unless a line up is submitted by the owner prior to the first line up deadline).

It is the responsibility of each team to verify the points for his team that are on the result sheets for each week. The last word on points for the league will be the Quick Stats Service.

Strange Play Scoring:

When strange things happen that result in a score, the QuickStats service (the source of our Stats) has the final word on the score. The QuickStats site has some interesting discussions on strange plays and how they are scored.
